How to Raise the pH in Grass

1). Pour a bag of powdered garden lime into the hopper of your walk-behind drop spreader.
2). Locate the suggested "drop spreader" settings on the package the lime came in and adjust the distributor dial on the spreader accordingly.
3). Walk the spreader along the outside edges of your lawn being sure to keep a steady pace around the entire perimeter.
4). Cover the remainder of the lawn using long, adjacent passes with the spreader. Be sure to overlap each pass slightly to cover all of the grass. At the end of each pass, disengage the spreader momentarily until you turn it around so that is does not let loose extra lime in one spot.
