- 1). Pour water to fill up half of the enclosed vessel. If the vessel has a lid, place the lid back on top. If it is like a tea pot with a spout, place the lid or cover on the spout.
- 2). Turn on the stove to medium high. Wait at least five minutes to see if there are bubbles forming at the bottom of the enclosed vessel. You can check this by removing the lid.
- 3). Turn off the stove and carefully remove the enclosed vessel form the heat source as soon as it is visible that bubbles are being formed. If the boiling water is for cooking, bring the heat down to more of a medium before adding your ingredients.
