- 1). Line the edges of your seating area of the hay ride with square bales of hay. The seating will take place in a truck bed or in a trailer attached to a truck, tractor or horse. Place blankets on top of the bales for added comfort for your guests.
- 2). Place one to three bales of hay in the center of your seating area if your ride provides enough room. Put a picnic table cloth over the hay to serve as a place for riders to eat trail mix, place personal items or sit if additional seating is needed.
- 3). Adorn the area where guests are seated with autumn decorations like pumpkins, fake autumn leaves and lighting, such as tube lighting, pumpkins lights or string lights. Riders will be seated in a truck bed or an open-topped trailer that is connected to a tracker, truck or horse.
- 4). Decorate the outside of the hay ride along the path the ride will follow in order to give your riders a scenic route. Set up scarecrows and groups of pumpkins along the edge of the trail you will take. Additionally, you can set up arches to drive under that have fall leaves or pumpkin lights draped around it.
