- 1). Open the CD burning software, and navigate to the burn pane.
- 2). Select the "Open" or "Add files" command to add WMA files to the burn pane. You can drag and drop files from the file explorer on your computer to the burn pane in most programs. The software will prompt you to allow it to harvest DRM files, either from your computer or from the Internet. You must let it do so, or it will refuse to burn the disc.
- 3). Insert the blank CD-R into the drive, and select the "Burn" command. Close out any other applications running on your computer as they can hinder the burning process and leave you with a ruined CD and incomplete files. Wait until the software tells you the process is 100 percent complete.
- 4). Re-insert the CD if the software automatically ejects it after the burn process. Navigate to the "Rip" tab, and select "Tools" then "Options" in the toolbar. Specify the folder where you'd like to keep the MP3 files, and select the MP3 file format. Press "OK" to save any changes.
- 5). Press "Rip now" or a similar command. The files will now be in MP3 format and available for use in your Zune. If you used a CD-RW, you can erase it now by clicking on the disc drive letter in your file explorer, right-clicking the letter and selecting the "Erase" command.
