- 1). Take off the pool cover. Put back any pool accessories that you have such as diving boards, ladders, or any other equipment you removed for the winter.
- 2). Remove all the pool inlet and outlet plugs.
- 3). Now it is time to once again vacuum and wash the walls of the pool. Make sure that you do a thorough job.
- 4). The water will likely be at a lower level than it should be at, so make sure the water level is correct.
- 5). Check the filter and clean out any debris.

Adjust the pH to the proper level. Super chlorinate your pool (add 3 times the chlorine amount) to kill any bacteria or other bad stuff in the pool.. Follow directions on the chlorine products. If the pool looks gray and smells like chlorine, there is probably too much chlorine in the water. If the water is sensitive to your skin or causes eye irritation, it's probably too acidic, and needs some more chlorine. After following these steps, your are ready to relax and have some fun in the sun and cool off in the pool.
