Hydroponics Gardening Needs Your Attention

As they rightly say, "An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure".  Hydroponics gardening will flourish only when it is free from viral diseases, and therefore, protecting plants from viral disease and other kinds of ailments should be the top priority for every hydroponic grower.

You can also protect your plants from plant deficiency, viral diseases and harmful bacterial and fungal infestation by taking some essential steps. With these, you can greatly increase your chances of enjoying the harvest season, rather than lamenting over the fact that you did not work harder to protect your investment.

Follow some of the useful steps mentioned below to prevent your hydroponics gardening plants from being infected by lethal viral diseases:

Virus - Plant viral disease protection can be very tricky.  In order to do it, you need a hydroponic product built specifically for plant viral disease protection. Such products generally contain salicylic acid whose function is analogous to vaccination in humans. To get the maximum benefit from plant viral disease protection products, make sure to use it as a foliar spray as well. After this treatment, plants in your grow system will be more prepared for a viral attack.

Bacteria - With harmful bacteria, you have to fight fire with fire. Before harmful bacteria get a chance to take hold in your system, make sure to include in it a hydroponics nutrient that contains beneficial bacteria.  These beneficial bacteria will hold a near monopoly on the resources that bacteria require to survive, which will make any harmful ones that enter your reservoir less likely to cause any trouble.  As a bonus, by making sure that only beneficial bacteria enter into your hydroponics system you will enjoy increased nutrient uptake and overall healthier plants in your hydroponics gardening.

Fungi - Harmful fungi should be prevented by making sure that the humidity in your grow room doesn't rise too high. Harmful fungi thrive in moist environments, so if your grow room becomes too humid, it can severely speed the germination of any fungal spores that might be present in your reservoir.

Deficiency – There is another kind of disease that plant suffers which doesn't actually come from any kind of external source. It is simply due to lack of nutrients. Make sure that your nutrient solution is well balanced.  Even if everything looks apparently fine in your reservoir, it is still possible that there is a deficiency in your plants because of poor nutrient uptake.

Make sure that the pH in your reservoir is maintained at a level of 5.6 and that the temperature in the nutrient solution doesn't fall below seventy degrees Fahrenheit. You should also use products that contain beneficial bacteria and beneficial fungi.  Certain beneficial bacteria can actually speed the germination process of useful fungi. When these beneficial fungi enter your system, along with beneficial bacteria, it makes it much more difficult for the harmful ones even to survive.

However, all of the plant viral disease protection in the world cannot help you if you don't have the right hydroponics tools and know how to use them properly.
