The Support of a Criminal Defense Attorney

An individual, group, or corporation may be charged with a criminal act. There are many causes for a charge of misdemeanor or felony can be brought against the individual or business. A criminal defense attorney may be appointed to the defendant or personally hired. An individual may be charged with robbing someone.
The lawyer's position is to prove that the prosecution's case against him or her is untrue beyond a shadow of doubt. The lawyer will present evidence in the form of witness testimony, medical records, employment records, and physical evidence to show that their client was not the person who the prosecution is making him or her out to be. However, in the case of a business versus a client, the client may have stated that the company knowingly with held their profits from him or her. It is the criminal defense attorney's position to present all of the company's evidence that they were either well within their rights to recoup funding of the project or disclose how they plan to repay the individual.

A criminal defense attorney is charged with the task of locating all of the physical evidence, witness accounts, medical records, police records, and cases of precedent to support their client's testimony and/or plea. He or she may represent a single client, group, company, or corporation in their defense against charges or criminal behavior either as the result of negligence or malicious intent. He or she may be a public defender, who is assigned to cases by the criminal court system in their jurisdiction. A public defender is assigned to men and women who cannot afford to hire an attorney. However, a criminal defense attorney may be hired or on retainer for a wealthy individual, company, or corporation for legal situations such as this.
Criminal defense attorneys like all lawyers, act as legal counsel, mediators, and court representatives throughout any case. They present evidence in support of their client's protest of innocence, before a judge and a jury of 12 men and women who must be convinced beyond reasonable doubt of the defendant's claims. Not every client is without guilt or crime, but it is with the belief that all men are presumed innocent until proven guilty that these lawyers defend with every resource they have. The resources are determined by the pursuit of truth in each case. They are required to clarify all false impression about their client's character and behavior while presenting their plea with full determination.
