Overseas Property Sales up in 2009 - Turkey and Spain Biggest Benefactors
Overseas property sales picked back up in the first two months of 2009, according to overseas property specialists Azure Overseas. Though sales are at nowhere near the levels they were six months ago, the fact that sales have been increasingly by steadily more each month since December is a very positive sign for the industry, according to Azure director Frank Crowley, he said:
"I was pleased when sales increased by 3.2% in January, but I actually became optimistic for 2009 when I was told that they had increased by 5.62% in February, which is a shorter month."
"I believe the growths can be attributed to the realisation by investors that even moderate rental yields earned on an overseas property are considerably more than the returns of having the money sitting in a bank," continued the 47 year old member of the NAEA.
Turkey and Spain saw the biggest rises in sales volume, Frank put this down to the fact that both countries are currently offering an array of bargains, Turkey because it is at an early stage of its development, and Spain because of the negative effect the credit crunch has had on prices.
Azure Overseas are currently offering many of these affordable properties in Spain and Turkey. The Novo Golf development is currently a firm favourite with visitors to the site, not least because it offers 1 bedroom apartments in Alicante from just 82,000. The development is in a central location, close to the beach and three golf courses. Surrounding the development in a 300m radius are all types of amenities and facilities for the perfect holiday, including:
* 17 premises with bars, cafes, pubs, Irish bars, bars serving breakfasts, specialist menus, etc.
* 18 premises with: restaurants serving not only national but international food, i.e. Chinese, Asian, German, Austrian, Hungarian, English, Italian and Argentinean.
* 6 kiosks and a 'bizarre' selling a variety of: gifts, souvenirs, jewellery, porcelain, as well as a supermarket and a hair salon.
The favourite property in Turkey is unchanged; the ever popular Apollon holiday village, which, built by a trusted UK developer offers peace of mind alongside the obvious affordability, luxury and investment potential.
