- 1). Split open the vanilla bean pods lengthwise. Using the side of your knife, scrape the beans out of the pod. Place the vanilla beans into the bottle you've chosen to hold your perfume oil.
- 2). Chop the vanilla bean pods into small pieces. Add the chopped pods to the bottle.
- 3). Pour enough vodka into the bottle to cover the vanilla beans and pods.
- 4). Put the cover on the bottle and store in a dark place for 2 months. Shake the bottle every few days to ensure the fragrance has extracted from the vanilla beans and pods.
- 5). Strain the liquid into your decorative bottle using a nylon stocking .
- 6). Fill the bottle with the base oil of your choosing and secure the top. Shake the bottle well to combine.
