With more than half of the Taliban infiltrating the major areas of Afghanistan makes the country in serious trouble as it is feared to be a Taliban hideout again.
This was according to the report made by an independent thinktank Senlis Council, who said that the Taliban presence is only an inch away from Kabul, Afghanistan's capital.
The council reported that the insurgency that the Taliban is exercising creates more psychological traumas to the Afghan people as the secessionist group gains control of the major territories of Afghanistan.
With the raging vengeance of the Taliban to unseat the NATO troops that drove them away in 2001, according to reports, the group is now taking control of the major ports, business centers and road infrastructure of Afghanistan and securing their bases in cases of possible attacks from the U.
S.
and its allies.
The council said Taliban's presence in the country will be a drawback in transportation of UN aid and would mean a halt to the all development efforts being given to the rehabilitation of Afghanistan.
Reports claimed the Afghan people have suffered a number of times in 2001 and with this incident the country will continue to be burdened with the acts of barbarism and abuse of the Taliban.
It said the 2008 strategic paradigm shift in the implementation of reforms will be affected as Taliban are once again trying to reign supreme in the area.
All humanitarian efforts and aid agencies were warned of their safety and security in the area.
Even corruption in the central and local governments is aggravating the condition.
