Bevel the edge of the wooden rectangle using the router and the router bit of your choice. Be sure to move the router around the edges of the wood in a counterclockwise direction. Reclamp the rectangle halfway through to grip the wood from an edge that you have already routed. - 4

Sand the rectangle with medium and then fine sandpaper. Begin with 80 grit sandpaper and finish with a grit of 150 to 180. - 5

Paint the back and back edges of the plaque with the color of your choice, stain the wood or rub it with linseed oil. Allow to dry. - 6). Finish the front and front edges of the plaque using the same paint or oil as on the back. Allow to dry.

Attach picture-hanging hardware to the upper center of the back of the plaque, following the directions on the hardware package.
