- 1). Place 1/2 oz. beeswax and the vegetable oil in a double boiler. You can make a double boiler by filling a large pot with water and placing a smaller pot inside the larger one.
- 2). Sit the double boiler over medium-low heat. Stir the beeswax and vegetable oil until the wax melts completely.
- 3). Remove the small saucepan from the large one. Whisk the ointment until it cools down to at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 4). Pour the ointment into an airtight container.
- 1). Place the elder oil and 2 oz. of beeswax in a double boiler.
- 2). Sit the double boiler over medium-low heat. Stir until the beeswax melts.
- 3). Remove the melted wax and oil mixture from the stove-top.
- 4). Add in 2 tsp. of eucalyptus oil and 20 drops of wintergreen oil.
- 5). Store the ointment in an airtight container.
