Myths About Vitamins

    Organic isn't Better

    • Organic vitamins are not necessarily better for you. Your body processes organic and synthetic vitamins the same way and gets the same benefits from both types of vitamins.

    Vitamins Cannot Replace Food

    • Vitamins should be taken only to add nutrients to your diet, not to replace food.

    Vitamins Cannot Replace Excercise

    • Vitamins do not give you any of the benefits of exercise. They simply add certain nutrients to your diet.

    More is Not Better

    • Just because taking vitamins can improve your health, this does not mean that taking more vitamins will help even more. Taking too many of certain vitamins can cause sickness or extreme bodily harm.

    All Vitamins Are Not Safe

    • Vitamins do not need to be regulated by the FDA for content, except in the case of folacin. Some vitamins can be unsafe to take even when they are intended to help.
