Calling to Cancel Your Card

• 1). Call Walmart Money Card customer service at 877-937-4098.
  
  
• 2). Press "4" on your telephone's keypad to be connected with the customer support center.
  
  
• 3). Enter the required information, such as your Walmart Money Card number, as the system prompts you.
  
  You will then be transferred to a customer support agent.
  
  
• 4). Inform the agent that you would like to close your Walmart Money Card account.
  
  You may have to answer some identifying questions such as your birth date, address or your Social Security number, so that the agent can verify that you are the account holder. He will then close your account at your request.
  
  
• 5). Cut up the card into tiny pieces and discard, if you desire.
  
  

Close Your Account by Mail

• 1). Address your envelope to Walmart Money Card's customer service address, which is below. Affix proper postage to the envelope.
  
  
• 2). Write or print a letter that contains your request to have your Walmart Money Card account closed.
  
  Include the account number, your name, address and telephone number in the request.
  
  
• 3). Wait to receive either a phone call from Walmart Money Card that will verify that you wish to close your account or a letter from the company stating that your account was closed at your request.
  
  If a customer support agent calls, you may have to give some personal identifying information, such as your birth date or your Social Security number, so that the agent knows that you are the account holder.
