I receive many emails from people asking me how to treat and prevent acne.
The great news is it isn't hard if you know what works and what does not.
Many of these people often ask me about all natural home remedies and that is what I will cover in this article.
The internet is full of products claiming to get rid of acne but they usually have one thing in common and that is to take your money for some product that they probably have never tried.
The all natural remedies listed below have helped thousands including myself to go from severe acne to acne free.
How to Treat and Prevent Acne- Orange Peel Orange peel is a wonderful remedy that helps in treating acne.
I like using this because it can be found at almost any local supermarket.
Take one orange and peel it.
After peeling the orange grind up the peel and mix it with a gentle face soap or even water.
Leave the paste on your face for thirty minutes.
Do not scrub your face as it will cause the skin to become more irritated.
How to Treat and Prevent Acne - Tea Tree Oil This is one of my favorite remedies I tell people when they ask me about how to treat and prevent acne.
Go to the local health food store and ask for tea tree oil.
What is nice about tea tree oil is often times there are already anti-bacterial products available to treat acne with.
First apply a warm cloth to face to open the pores.
Then apply the tea tree oil itself or the tea tree oil product to the acne infected area.
Leave it on for 10 - 15 minutes and rinse off the face with warm water.
How to Treat and Prevent Acne - - Witch Hazel This last treatment will be used to replace the current toner you use on the face.
Witch hazel is an extract that comes from a North American shrub, Witch Hazel.
Many people will often times go to a health food store and purchase witch hazel along with some dried lavender and make a mixture that is applied to the face once or twice per day.
I suggest adding lavender because of its soothing properties not to mention the calming aroma.
Please note if you are taking any prescription medications please consult with your doctor as it can alter the affects of other medications
