"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" is a first-person action shooter available for several home game consoles, including the Xbox 360. The game takes place in the modern middle east and pits players through numerous missions, some involving vehicles, some involving stealth and all involving intense action. Along the way, there are numerous cheats you can unlock to make things a little more fun. First, unlock the cheat menu, which can be accessed from the options menu by completing the game's story mode.

Intel Cheats

Collecting pieces of intel (intelligence) throughout the game can unlock various cheats. These pieces are scattered throughout the game's various levels in hidden locations. Collect two pieces of intel to unlock "COD Noir" mode, which turns the game black and white. Collect four pieces of intel to unlock "Photo-Negative," which inverts the game's colors. Collect six pieces of intel to unlock "Super Contrast," which increases the game's contrast level. Collect eight pieces of intel to unlock "Ragtime Warfare," which makes the game play like an old silent movie with piano music and sepia tones. Collect 10 pieces of intel to unlock Cluster Bombs, which replace frag grenades. Collect 15 pieces of intel to unlock "A Bad Year," which makes enemies explode into tires when they're shot. Collect 20 pieces of intel to unlock Slow Motion and finally collect 30 pieces to unlock Infinite Ammo.

To unlock an extra mission known as "Mile High Club," complete the game's story mode on any difficulty and sit through the credits. This mission requires you to take back a hijacked passenger airplane mid-flight.

You can complete challenges to unlock golden versions of some of the weapons in the game. However, the alteration is purely cosmetic and will not affect the weapon's attributes. To unlock the golden AK-47, complete all of the assault rifle challenges. To unlock the golden Desert Eagle, reach level 55 on multiplayer mode (requires online capability). To unlock the golden M1014, complete all of the shotgun missions. To unlock the golden Dragunov, complete all of the sniper challenges. To unlock the golden Uzi, complete the SMG challenges. And finally to unlock the golden M60, complete all of the LMG challenges.
