If you have a large farm you're probably a bit frustrated with how long it's daily maintaining takes.
It can take you as long as an hour to plow through the whole farm and if you're in a hurry, you won't have time to do anything else.
So, you have probably looked into buying a tractor or other machines to help you.
That's not necessary though, because there's a technique called 'trapping' or 'boxing'.
Here's how to do it.
1.
When Farmville loads up, don't move your character at all.
That's the place where he/she will always spawn when you start, so you want to stay there.
2.
Go to the Market and buy something you can block him with.
Hay bales, for example, work great.
3.
Now just go and surround your farmer with the items so that he/she can't leave the ring.
Now your farmer will still be able to do his/her work, but will be blocked from walking around, so when you plow, harvest or seed something, it will be as if you farmer was there instantaneously.
Trapping your farmer can cut back the time you spend on this necessary but boring phase by more than two thirds.
So, by using the trap not only can you save a ton of time, but you can also avoid buying those machines.
While they can be good when your farm is smaller, with a big farm you will just find yourself frustrated because of the annoying shared fuel tank.
