- 1). Sprinkle water over the area you wish to deodorize. Use just a little bit of water, enough to dampen the area.
- 2). Shake some boric acid onto the area. Do not use an excessive amount. A little bit will do.
- 3). Use a cloth to scrub the area until the stain or odor is completely removed. Continue at regular intervals in high-traffic areas that are prone to odor, like a pet bed.
- 1). Bathe as you would regularly. Paying special attention, dry the areas where you wish to cut down on perspiration and body odor. Feet and underarms are common sources of this unpleasant aroma.
- 2). Dry with a towel until the wetness is completely gone.
- 3). Sprinkle a small amount of boric acid on your underarms or feet, being careful not to overdo it. More than a little sprinkle could irritate the skin. Let it sit for about five minutes. Continue with your normal routine.
