At the start of each year, everyone's probably looking back to evaluate how their businesses had fared in the year that just passed. Are things on the upswing or is there a "wall of frustration" that's blocking the way to where you want to take your business?
If you're into network marketing, you must have come face-to-face with this wall at one time or another. This wall of frustration is an invisible wall that wreaks havoc on your momentum and gets in the way along your path to success. And you know that the only way to move forward is to go over this wall - that's how the top producers in network marketing got to where they are now.
If ever you're experiencing this dilemma in your home based business, you actually need to do a very simple thing - Reset and Refresh. It doesn't help at all to sulk and be sorry for yourself when things aren't going the way you expected. Being in that state of mind won't get you anywhere, so don't waste any time and push that RESET button now.
The whole world doesn't know of your frustration so NO ONE will be coming over to offer you a shoulder to cry on - unless of course you tell them. Added to that, nobody really likes listening to horror stories on how bad you're doing so there's really no use telling people about it.
Rejection is a common aspect of the networking business and everyone has had his fair share of rejection when searching for new prospects. Rather than focusing on the number of times you've been rejected, put
some attention on how you deal with the rejection. Do you carry over the frustration to the next prospect you approach or do you simply brush it off your shoulder and commit to do better on the next job?
Here's one very important thing to keep in mind - the next prospect you'll be approaching doesn't know a bit that the last one just turned you down. So thing of every new prospect as a FRESH START - a brand new person who just might be waiting for what you have to offer.
Off To A New Start€¦
Most often, we have the tendency to forget why we're in business because we focus too much on what we have not accomplished. So right now, stop and think why you got into your home-based business in the first place. Surely, it was because you saw a possibility. And ossibilities are endless. You didn't have anything accomplished when you first started out in this business, but look at how far you've gone and what you have accomplished. And it was because your thoughts were a hundred percent on the possibilities.
If you currently find yourself facing that invisible wall and are quite frustrated, DON'T focus on what you have not accomplished. Set your eyes, heart and soul on newer possibilities. Press the reset button and start anew. Approach new prospects with the vigor and enthusiasm you had back then and don't allow the thought of rejection to hover on your mind. If someone turns you down, simply move on to the next possible prospect.
This is the right attitude to take and you must never lose sight of why you went into business in the first place.
