- 1). Double-click Norton Antivirus to launch the security program. If your Norton Antivirus program is part of Norton Internet Security or Norton SystemWorks, start that product.
- 2). Click the "Options" menu and click "Norton Antivirus." Select "Auto-Protect" in the "System" section.
- 3). Check the "Run at System Startup" or "Load Auto-Protect at startup" option, depending on the version you are using. Click "OK" to save the changes and restart your computer. The Norton Antivirus real-time protection turns on automatically.
