Business & Finance Careers & Employment

Are You a Newcomer That is Having Trouble With That Entry Level Resume?

If you are having trouble building that Entry Level Resume, then you are not alone.
Whether it is a career change or first time dipping that toe into the job pool, most applicants are very nervous about composing that all important document.
Want to know some things that can help to get yours noticed? The first thing that you may consider is to write a profile summary instead of a job objective.
This way, employers can see exactly what you are seeking as well as a good reason to bring you in for an interview.
It's best to keep this fresh in their mind when perusing your entry level resume instead of putting it off until later when it may not even be seen.
A profile summary can list your best qualifications for the position which may include experience or schooling.
Every company is different, so don't be afraid to write one each way and submit it twice.
This doubles your chance of landing that interview.
Another thing is the actual set up of the page.
A chronological resume lists your experience in the order it was received.
A functional one groups your skills according to type and doesn't necessarily include dates of employment.
This can be an advantage for somebody who has skills but bad luck in choosing a company.
This all depends on the job opportunity at hand and the reviewer, but it is good practice to have one of each at the ready in order to submit it quickly.
Remember to always put your most important accomplishment as early as possible into your entry level resume so that it does get the recognition that you deserve.
In this way, at least one person will know that you have relevant skills for this opening.
Good Luck!
