Blood Type Eat Puts Quite a Few Restrictions on People

You have so many kinds of diets today that people are getting mind boggled as to what to eat and how much. They fail to see that most diets are actually quite basic; they all recommend one to take in green leafy vegetables, certain fruits and grains. However, when put together in a fancy way, endorsed by some renowned celebrity or talked of extensively by researchers and scientists, these diets become the new talk of the town and everyone vies to attain a fitter shape by consuming them.

One of the most prolific diets to have emerged in recent times is the blood type diet which was commercially propagated and advocated by Dr. Peter Ddamo who authored the book, Eat Right For Your Type. Following blood type eat patterns means that one has to consume as per the requirements of one's specific group. The diet has divided mankind into 4 major groups; A, B, O and ABO. As per Dr. Peter Ddamo, a chemical reaction occurs between the foods you eat and the bodily functions, which is part of your genetic inheritance. This reaction is caused by a factor called Lectins that are basically abundant and diverse proteins found in edible items which have agglutinating properties that affect your blood.

Each of these 4 sections are said to suffer from different kinds of ailments, diseases and disorder due to the reactionary actions of certain elements called lectins that are harmful for the body. In order to avoid these reactions and make the body completely lectin free, people are recommended to follow blood type eat habits which put quite a few restrictions as far as consumption is concerned.

Talking specifically about the A category, it is considered to be the agrarian or cultivator by D'Adamo who believes that this category dates from the dawn of agriculture, 20,000 years ago. The foods for blood type A, consists mainly of beans, grains, legumes, tofu, fish, soy and fruit. Those whose group is A, ought to avoid all sorts of meats, especially the processed ones available in restaurants, cans, tins and as cold cuts. Since they need to follow a low calorie diet, they are recommended to stay away from all kinds of dairy products such as butter, cottage cheese, milk, butter, cream, etc. These people should cut down on their consumption of chemically treated and processed items since they are not very compatible with their bodily operations. Also, kidney and lima beans as well as wheat products need to be consumed very rarely.

As one can see, the diet for such kind of people is totally free of red meat and is more vegetarian in nature. Scientifically speaking, these foods for blood type A have been recommended to people so as to reduce and eliminate discomforts, disorders and diseases that such people, who tend to be of a thin body frame, suffer from. These include low stomach acid, a sensitive digestive system, excess amounts of mucus, infections, heart & cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.
