- 1). Remove the ice cream from your freezer. Allow it to soften for five or 10 minutes on your kitchen counter.
- 2). Line your loaf pan with foil or plastic wrap. Press the liner into the pan and make sure the lining extends about five inches past the ends of the pan.
- 3). Transfer the softened ice cream to the loaf pan.
- 4). Wrap the overhanging foil or plastic across the top of the pan.
- 5). Place the pan into the freezer for at least six hours.
- 6). Prepare to serve the ice cream loaf by removing the pan from the freezer. Uncover the ice cream and place a dinner plate upside down on the pan. Invert the pan and plate -- the ice cream should transfer to the plate, and you can remove the rest of the foil or plastic liner.
