Now that I have your attention, let me tell you what I mean here.
Here's a little exercise that, when I remember to do it, brings me an abundance of joy.
If you'd like to make love with all of us, here's what ya' do.
Whenever you look at anyone today, say silently to him/her, "I love you.
" Don't get all flashy with the eyes.
Expect nothing in return from that person.
Don't say, "I Luuuuuv you!" Here's my experience when I do this simple exercise.
If I start early enough in the day, I feel a peace, connection and joy with everyone I encounter, man, woman, child (sometimes other living things).
This happens just by remembering to silently say "I love you.
" Sometimes I see a kinda "What?" expression on the person's face...
especially dudes.
By the way, this works with those people that we don't particularly like (you know).
It's OK not to like folks...
Gotta' love 'em.
If you'd like my take on love itself, check out the article on this site that I wrote entitled, "Love...
True Love.
" True Love may very well not be the active verb that we often think it is.
Love may be a condition of our spirit, our very life.
When viewed from that perspective, when we send the thought-message, "I love you," we are likely saying, "I am love.
" Instinctively, the stranger may feel a unity with you and may send the same message to you without actively willing to do so in their mind.
Your spirits have locked for just a moment! That unity is love.
As a practical matter, what happens to me is that the chatter and clatter of my world takes my attention away from the exercise.
Nonetheless, when I start doing this early in the day (as soon as I remember to), I become aware of a higher vibration of peace and harmony throughout my day.
This occurs without the active participation of my mind.
Check it out.
