Kristy Hinze and Jim Clark

Wedding Date:

March 24, 2009

Relationship Profile:

Kristy Hinze, 29, most famous in the United States for her appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2000, married Netscape billionaire Jim Clark, 65, after several years of dating. The pair became an item as Clark was divorcing his third wife, Nancy Rutter, a Forbes business reporter, according to the New York Post. Dubbed Clark's "Aussie Angel", Hinze, a native of Queensland, Australia, has said that Clark's brain is what first drew her to him.

The Wedding:

Over the course of this four-day party in the British Virgin Islands, the couple celebrated their wedding and Clark's 65th birthday. Guests spent time on Clark's $100 million yacht, at Sir Richard Branson's private Necker Island, and on Virgin Gorda Island. For the wedding, the bride wore Oscar de la Renta and was escorted by seven bridesmaids, according to The Huffington Post. Film boss Harvey Weinstein and YouTube founder Chad Hurley, who is married to Clark's daughter, were among the 120 guests expected to attend. The dress code for the wedding, according to the New York Post, was "tropical chic".

The Honeymoon:

Reports in Australia and the United States indicated that there were no plans for a honeymoon. But the four-day destination wedding sounded like a honeymoon and wedding rolled into one.

What the Press Says about Them:

There are some folks in the media who are skeptical about this romance. They wonder if the 29-year-old model is looking to get money or additional fame out of this relationship with Clark.

But Hinze has defended herself by saying that she is truly in love with this man and that she finds him to be ever fascinating. She has also said that she never expected to be with someone older than her but that love just happened.

What We Learn from Them:

These two often play golf together and compete with one another. Hinze has also said that she keeps her man laughing. Compete a bit and laugh a lot -- and you will have the makings of a great relationship.
