- 1). Plug your steering wheel into the power output on your wall. If you are using a steering wheel that uses batteries, skip this step.
- 2). Connect the USB cable that comes with your steering wheel to the USB port displayed on the front of your console.
- 3). Turn on your PS3 console. The CMB (cross media bar) is displayed automatically.
- 4). Navigate to the "Settings" icon and select the option that reads "Accessories" from the drop-down menu.
- 5). Select the option that says "Reassign Controllers." Scroll to your steering wheel displayed in the list of controllers and press the "X" button on your controller. Press the up and down arrow to assign the steering wheel the number "1" to make it the default controller. Once you see a "1" beside the steering wheel, press the "X" button to select it.
- 6). Press the "O" button to go back to the cross media bar. Now you car use the steering wheel as the controller and to play Nascar 09.
