- 1). Click the first link in Resources. On this page, type in your street address, city and postal code in India and click "Submit." Now you will see a list of Western Union offices located in the area with their address and maps.
- 2). Visit any office of the company. Take along the recipient's address, government-issued ID card, Western Union fee and the transfer amount.
- 3). Tell the agent where you have to transfer the money. The agent will give you a form to fill out. Enter the amount of cash you're sending and the recipient's address, including city and country. Also, enter a short message if you want.
- 4). Collect the receipt, which also contains a Money Transfer Control Number. According to Western Union's website, the recipient must provide this MTCN for receiving the money, so it's important that you share the MTCN with him.
- 1). Decide which company you want to send the money through. Both Ikobo and ATM Cash work the same way, but the fee structures are different. On their websites, you can calculate the fees (see Resources for links).
- 2). Call the company you want to send the money with. Ikobo's toll free number is 866-800-4562. ATM Cash can be reached at 888-286-2274.
- 3). Tell the company rep on the phone that you want to send money. You will be then walked through the procedure. For signing up, you will be asked a couple of questions including names and contact details of sender and recipient. You will also need to give your credit/debit card information. The company will then send a reloadable prepaid card via FedEx to the recipient. You will receive the secure PIN code to this prepaid card.
- 4). Share the PIN code with the recipient. Using the PIN code, he can use the card to withdraw the cash from any of the 1.5 million ATM locations worldwide.
