In this article I'm going to try and answer the simple question "does hypnosis work for stop smoking?" This is something that comes up all the time on my website and I think hypnosis is a very interesting topic because it means you can give up without having to use patches. In my opinion the patches just prolong the addiction far past the 3 weeks of cravings that you experience if you go the cold turkey method.

We all know that smoking is harmful and that it will kill us in the end, but most people don't know that there are two main reasons that it is so tricky to give up.

* The first is the slight hunger you feel in your belly, and this is the physical addiction you have to smoking. You could beat this with ease if it was not for the second factor.

* The second part of your addiction is that feeling that life will never be the same again without smoke. We all have the brainwashing and this is what keeps most people smoking until it kills them.

Let's have a look at how hypnosis works for stopping smoking?

1. The first great thing about the hypnosis is that it fills you with that massive desire to give up. Without this it will be very difficult to quit. Think about all the people diagnosed with lung cancer who suddenly find it easy to give up. Having a massive desire is half the battle.

2. Some people almost report a physical pain when they give up and hypnosis is a great remedy for this as it was sometimes used to ease pain in operations years ago.

3. Hypnosis can also work on the brainwashing and get you past those moments when you think a cigarette is most important thing in the world.

4. Many people will give up for three months and then begin again once they think that they are over the addiction. The hypnosis will get you past this silly belief.

Maybe one of the most useful things about the hypnosis sessions is that they can build up your confidence and self esteem to make smoking seem unnecessary.

Often if you are feeling really good in life and are having fun the need to smoke will seem like a very distant memory
