General Hospital Recap for November 11, 2011:
Lucky, a nervous wreck, gets back to his room in Ireland and starts packing. The innkeeper asks what happened, and Lucky answers that his grief is making him see things. He tells her that he heard Jake's voice, and about the message he received. The innkeeper, for all her warnings against him going, does believe that Jake sent the message. Lucky rejects that idea.
She encourages him to hear the rest of the message.
Shawn makes a call while at Kelly's and tells the person on the other end that he's thinking about them. Carly enters but when she starts talking, Shawn shuts her down. Today, he says, is not about her. Carly of course pays no attention. Shawn tries again. It's Veterans Day, and for him, that's an important day. Mollified, Carly says that she hadn't thought about it. Seeing a package on the table, she asks who it's for. Turns out it's for the family of a marine who died in the friendly fire incident.
Carly comments that what he's doing is amazing, especially when she learns that he keeps in close touch with the family. Shawn says that he lives with the incident every day, so he doesn't have a choice. No one should have to grow up with no father. Carly thinks Shawn's father died when he was a child, which Shawn says is true. He watched his father get shot by a gang member in a store. Carly pours each of them a glass of milk to honor a tradition he had with his father.
"It's an honor to know someone like you," she says.
Steve looks shocked to see Maggie at GH. Why should he? He hired her. Steve asks why she didn't call, and he takes her into the conference room. She mentions their shared past in Memphis, but Steve only remarks that she's there to do a job. Oh, dear heavens, don't tell me we have another Lisa on our hands. He looks at the large syringe she has, and she tells him it's good for the kids she treats to see it -- then when they see the real syringe, it's not so big.
Steve tells her that he knows she was going around the hospital as a clown on Halloween. Maggie says she was trying to get a sense of the place, and that Steve and the hospital need her. Again, Steve reminds her that she's there for GH. They talk about old times. Maggie remembers that Steve took some risks, and he can't just pretend nothing happened.
Just then, Olivia approaches Steve. He introduces her to Maggie. Maggie takes off to do some work. Olivia invites Steve to her old neighborhood for a night on the town. Has she forgotten that they're suspects in Lisa's death? Right. He and Olivia decide it's best to delay the trip. Maggie overhears Steve say he needs to keep an eye on Maggie so she doesn't get into trouble. Olivia wonders what their relationship has been.
Jason and Sam arrive at the penthouse. Jason wants her to talk to a therapist, but Sam is adamant that she doesn't want to. She says that she feels dirty. Jason promises her that that's not what he sees when he looks at her. All he sees is his wife. He holds her. Sam wants to be alone and suggests that he go to GH for his checkup. With Jason gone, Sam begins to look at their wedding gifts. As she does so, she grows angrier and throws them around the room.
Matt enters Elizabeth's room and finds that she's trying to leave. He helps her back into bed, noting that she is feverish. Elizabeth starts talking to Matt as if he is her rescuer. Matt tells her that she's hallucinating because of the fever. Monica walks in -- Elizabeth hears a child's voice calling for her. Matt leaves and Elizabeth begs Monica to help her. Jake needs her. Monica gives her a sedative.
