Is South Texas a viable place for a truck wash? Well South Texas is a huge area indeed.
But since more and more trade is coming from Mexico there are more and more trucks going both ways along the major Roads leading from the Border to I-10.
Some go through San Antonio and others through Houston.
But what many people do not understand is that there are some excellent potential truck wash locations on the 59 outside of Houston.
Once you get out of town and the Freeway goes down to a highway you will see lots of trucks parked for the night.
Land is not so expensive and there are a couple of truck stops, all high-traffic.
Recently this subject came up in an online think tank when one guest member stated; "We live near a major highway in Texas, and while it's not an Interstate Highway, it sees a significant amount of traffic - mostly independents from what I can tell from keeping an eye on the popular high-traffic truck stop down the road.
" Indeed this is an excellent observation and the traffic into Brownsville is intense.
That area is growing along with the massive flow of trucks over the borders.
On the 277 in Del Rio Texas there is a potential for a scaled down truck wash as well.
Along the 83 there is also a potential for a truck wash.
The 77 and 87 between Victoria and San Antonio could use a scaled down truck wash as well.
Perhaps a clarifier and a one bay strong steel building (Tornadoes Considered) and there is labor available there as well.
The 77, 83, 87 and 277 are seeing more and more traffic each passing season.
All these should be considerations if one is thinking on a truck wash location in South Texas.
