- 1). Measure and mark where you will run your PVC pipe through, usually vertical with your sewer pipes. Mark all locations on the truss that you must cut through to fit your PVC pipe through.
- 2). Cut the truss with your reciprocating saw wherever it is in the way of the PVC pipe.
- 3). Push through PVC pipe into the wood truss, and connect the PVC pipe together. Connect all the PVC pipe, by priming first the end of the pipe with PVC primer. Spread PVC solvent cement on each end and hold together in place for 30 seconds till it dries.
- 4). Secure PVC pipe to the truss and framing. Place PVC pipe clamps every three feet. Press the PVC clamp into the pipe and secure it with wood screws using your drill.
