- 1). Store your liquid lipstick in a drawer, away from heat and humidity. Avoid keeping it in the bathroom because the temperature may degrade the product. Keep the liquid lipstick tightly shut in a cool area that's not in direct sunlight.
- 2). Mark the liquid lipstick tube with the date on which you opened it. Use a waterproof marker directly on the lipstick tube, or write the date on a small sticker and stick it on the tube. Periodically check your makeup products and discard your liquid lipstick one year after the date written on it.
- 3). Examine your liquid lipstick if you are unsure if it's still good. Smell the product to see if it has an unusual odor. Check that the color and texture of the liquid lipstick don't have any changes. Discard the product if it smells, or if the color and texture have changed.
- 4). Avoid bacteria growth. Wash your face and hands before applying liquid lipstick and refrain from sharing your lipstick with others.
