I. Definition
Common Sorrel or Garden Sorrel also known as sorrel, is a perennial herb. The leaves are oblong, the lower ones 3 to 6 inches in length, slightly arrow-shaped at the base and it is cultivated as a vegetable for consumption. It has been used in traditional medicine to cool any inflammation and heat of blood.
