- Anabolic steroids are synthetic hormones related to the male sex hormones (androgens). They promote development of male sexual characteristics and lean muscle.
- To prevent side effects, people should limit continuous use of D-Bol to 6 weeks or less, with at least an equal amount of time as a break from the drug.
- More common D-Bol side effects include scalp hair loss, acne, and mood and behavior changes such as irritation and aggression.
- Men taking D-Bol may experience reduced sperm production (infertility), testicle shrinking (testicular atrophy), and irreversible breast enlargement. Women can develop coarse skin, excessive body hair growth, and irreversible voice hoarseness or deepening.
- D-Bol is associated with liver cancer and hepatitis, particularly when the drug is abused. Other risks which mainly occur with long-term use include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease and heart attacks.
