Thomas, wasn?t there a subplot where you had a new girlfriend?
It was just basically a little moment where Stifler sees this hot girl and he?s going to go make a move, and then sees me with her. He?s like, ?No way, that can?t be Kevin?s girlfriend,? and makes this attempt that he?s going to get her as well. He was pining for two girls. Then there was just another moment that we never filmed that they talked about doing some sort of a scene in Kevin?s hotel room with his girlfriend, which I was bummed about that because that would?ve been fun.
Why was it cut?
THOMAS: It really was just sort of a bit in the film.

I think the main thing was it was just trying to show that Kevin was not still pining for his ex-girlfriend, which I think would have been a really sad thing for that character to still be going that way after college.

What extra bachelor party stuff did you shoot for the DVD?
THOMAS: We shot a bunch of stuff.
NIKKI: We shot so much stuff, I have no idea. All I know is the scene is edited down to just under five minutes in the movie, but on the DVD it?s like 12 minutes or something like that. Who knows? We shot so many different random [things], we never knew what we were going to do.

Thomas, you?ve directed a film. Would you ever direct a movie like ?American Pie??
THOMAS: It?s one of those movies that at this point, it pretty much runs itself. So yeah, I think it would be a pretty fun time. I don't know how it would work with the dynamics of directing a group of people that I know so well. [For] the first film, we were 18 years old and we were all stoked to have a job instead of just sitting home twiddling our thumbs.

I?m sure the dynamics would be different than the film that I did. I got to cast some people that it was their first film. I thought they were good for the role and because we had raised our own financing, we didn?t have to ask the studio, ?Could we put this person in?? It was like this person?s right for the role, so I think as the director, I had a little bit more of that sense of ?I?m in charge.? Whereas I don?t necessarily think I could be in charge of the cast of ?Pie.? They?d be like, ?Yeah, what did you say Thomas? I got it, it?s all right.?

Who is the most like their character and the least?
NIKKI: Seann is very not like his character, but he reminds me a lot of Stifler. His character always reminded me of the character that my ex-husband played on ?90210,? which was kind of that always in trouble [personality]. But in reality, his real personality is sweetest. He?s the one that puts an orneriness that is obviously in him, but it?s completely opposite from his personality. And who?s most like their character? I?d say I?m the one that?s most like my character.
