You earn two "Royal Points" per dollar on all Royal Caribbean purchases, either the trip itself or what you purchase on board. You earn one point per dollar on all other purchases.

The most attractive feature of this card is the upfront bonus.

You earn 10,000 bonus points after you first transaction, whether it's a purchase or a balance transfer. There's a 0% APR on balance transfers for the first nine months, although the balance-transfer fee is a fairly steep 4%.

If you have good credit, the APR on purchases is a moderate 12.99%, rising to 20.99% if you have fair credit.

You can redeem your points for cruises, stateroom upgrades, cruise discounts, on-board credits, cash or merchandise. Reward redemptions begin at 10,000 points. You can earn up to 250,000 Royal Points per year, including bonus points, and redeem a maximum of 1,250,000 points over five Years. Points expire after five years.

    Recommendation

This card is virtually identical to the Norwegian Cruise Line MasterCard. The only difference is the cruise line sponsor. If you're looking for a credit card where you can earn points towards a discounted cruise, it really depends on where you're planning to go and which line you prefer. Both cards are issued by Bank of America.
