Definition: A slang term for the sale of a single cigarette, loosies typically cost between 25 and 50 cents each.
Selling loosies is an illegal, but common practice in urban areas. Minors cannot purchase cigarettes legally by the pack in stores, but can purchase loosies easily on the street.
Tobacco taxes in the U.S. have increased the cost of a pack of cigarettes dramatically, and likewise, the demand for loosies.
