In the short time I've been in business offering organic skin care products, I've always assumed young girls would not be interested in organic products.
I tended to believe women who were 20 years old and beyond would be more interested and more willing to purchase these products than those under 20.
Recently I have spoken with lots of lovely young ladies from 16 - 21 years of age who just love the idea of organic skin care and organic makeup products, but just can't afford it.
I totally understand that.
I've been there, done that! Young girls would rather spend their money on shoes, clothes and accessories...
of course! My message to these your ladies has been, although youth is on your side (lucky for them!), it is really important that you know the value of your skin on your overall health.
The fact is, there are just way too many toxic ingredients in mainstream skin care and makeup.
So many harsh ingredients that mum's like me are put off purchasing these products for their daughters.
So to all the mum's out there, we need to educate our young ladies on how dangerous these ingredients are...
but not just that...
these ingredients offer NOTHING to young OR mature skin.
Going organic provides young skin so many more benefits.
A young girl's skin is sensitive and may suffer from acne and oily skin.
A good cleanser and daily moisturiser is ultimately all they need at this point in their life.
Some might also benefit from a good body scrub and lip balm for dry lips (oh, how I remember those chapped lips in high school).
And as far as makeup goes, if you want to keep things really simple and inexpensive, then a really good foundation and concealer will help cover up any blemishes.
But really, the list goes on, I could get very excited and go off on a tangent with you and say you need a good mascara and a couple of lipstick shades, and what about an eye shadow? Oh, and your hair? You need a good organic conditioner and hair styling product.
Plus don't forget a quality natural body wash! I remember my mum used to make me use those yucky soap bars.
Ewww! Anyway, I'm sure by now the young girls reading this article get my point.
Just please promise me you'll invest in some good quality organic skin care and organic makeup products.
