Doing an Xbox 360 E73 fix doesn't have to be that difficult. It might be hopeless when you first got it when playing your favorite videogame but there is some ways you can try and fix it yourself. Also you are not by yourself in this problem xbox 360 has a huge problem with this issue from your typical one red light to 3 red lights and so on.
Some things to try before you call up Microsoft or throw away your Xbox in the garbage (at least you want at the moment) is to follow a couple ideas.
#1. The 1st thing is to try and is to unplug the power cable and let it sit for a while and let the system cool down. When it has cooled down completely simply plug it back in and start her up again. Also make sure you have enough space for the power brick to get air flow around it.
#2. The next one is really easy to do and can be overlooked by many people all the time. Check all cable connections to make sure they are all connected properly and that they are not damaged at all.
#3. The last thing you should try is to remove the harddrive and power it up when it is not connected and see of that helps at all.
If none of these work for you then the next Xbox 360 E73 fix I would do is a little more in depth. There are guides available with pictures and videos to show how to fix this issue along with a host of other ones like the E71 error, 3 red lights, and E74 error code. I did this personally with my Xbox and have never looked back again. The main reason why I choose to do it myself was that I did not want to send it in and wait for days and days if not months for Microsoft to fix it.
