- 1). Open and log in to your email account.
- 2). Open a new blank email message.
- 3). Enter the recipient's mobile phone text messaging email address in the "To" field. The text email address is usually the 10-digit mobile phone number followed by the cell phone provider's SMS gateway. For example, the text email for Verizon is 1234567890@vtext.com.
- 4). Enter your joke message in the body of the email.
- 5). Click "Send" once you have completed your message. Your email will be sent to the recipient's text inbox.
