- 1). Turn the laminating machine on and allow it warm up. This process typically takes between fifteen and 20 minutes. While waiting, align the paper into the machine and make sure the paper is lined up perfectly. Any unevenness will cause the work to appear messy.
- 2). Insert the connected end of the laminated sheet into the machine. As the sheet passes through, watch for any spots or bubbles to appear. If this does occur, simply run the sheet through the machine once more. Bubbles can sometimes appear if the machine was not given enough time to warm up properly.
- 3). Allow the laminated sheet to cool for a couple of minutes. It's important to allow the paperwork to cool before moving on to finishing the lamination process.
- 4). Place the laminated sheet onto a paper cutter. Cut the sheet, leaving a little extra plastic over the main section of the paper. Then go over the excess paper, removing the ends. This cutting process works for any type of sheet.
