- 1). Lower your display brightness to conserve power. Tap "Menu" from the home screen, and then touch "Settings." Select "Display," and then "Brightness." Lower the brightness to the lowest comfortable setting for you and then tap "OK."
- 2). Activate the Battery Saver power profile. Press "Menu" from the home screen and select "Settings," and then "Battery Manager." Tap "Battery Mode" and select "Maximum Battery Saver." Remember that this will cause your data connection to time out and disconnect after 15 minutes of inactivity, in order to conserve energy.
- 3). Turn off Bluetooth when you do not need it. Press "Menu" from the home screen and select "Settings." Tap "Wireless & Networks," and then touch "Bluetooth" to turn the feature off.
- 4). Turn off Wi-Fi when you're not using it. Press "Menu" from the home screen and select "Settings." Tap "Wireless & Networks," and then touch "Wi-Fi" to turn the feature off.
- 5). Disable the use of GPS satellites when you don't need the GPS function. Press "Menu" from the home screen and select "Settings." Tap "Location & Security," and then uncheck "Use GPS Satellites." This dramatically lowers the amount of battery power consumed, but it will result in an inaccurate location reading until you turn it back on.
