- 1). Blot the stain immediately with a paper towel. Sandwich the nylon item firmly between two paper towels and blot vigorously. Press a hot iron to the top paper towel. This will help remove some of the oil before the nylon absorbs it even more. Repeat as needed.
- 2). Fill a basin with extremely hot water. Pour 1 tbsp. of detergent on the oil stain and submerge the nylon item. Allow it to soak for three hours. Repeat if necessary.
- 3). Rinse the item with hot water. Crush two aspirin and mix them in 1/2 cup hot water with a spoon. Pour the mixture directly over the stain. This will help to bleach the oil stain.
