- 1). Choose a container that has holes in the bottom to prevent overwatering. The container should be large enough to hold the desired number of Aeonium arboreum plants without crowding.
- 2). Fill the container with a growing mixture consisting of 2 parts sand, 1 part loam, 1 part peat moss and a handful of pea gravel.
- 3). Place the roots of Aeonium arboreum into the growing mix at their prior level. Add just enough water to barely moisten the growing mix.
- 4). Situate the container in a spot that receives full sun.
- 5). Add moisture when the top inch of the growing mix is dry during the growing season.
- 6). Feed once in spring with balanced fertilizer. Read the product package instructions to determine the right amount, as it varies between products.
- 7). Moisten the growing mix lightly once each month during winter, when Aeonium arboreum isn't actively growing.
