- 1). Obtain the boilerplate interrogatories template from your local court. This will contain the relevant directions for interrogatories in your jurisdiction. You must attach this template to all interrogatories you send to the other side.
- 2). Create your specific questions. You can choose standardized questions that have already gained approval in your state. These will ask for basic information, such as the parties' names and contact information. They will also ask about the facts of a case in a specific manner that has already gained approval. If you don't like how a specific questions sounds, you can change the language to your own. Be wary, the other side can object to any questions that you form in this manner. More than likely, they will win this objection.
- 3). Send your interrogatories. Mail them to the other side in a certified envelope. This will give you evidence that you mailed the form.
