- 1). Measure 1/3 cup of water with a measuring cup and pour into a mixing bowl.
- 2). Measure 2/3 cup of plaster of Paris in a measuring cup and add it slowly to the water in the mixing bowl, stirring with a plastic fork as you pour. It should be thick in consistency once all of the plaster is added.
- 3). Place your plaster mask over a sheet of newspaper to protect the surface where you are working.
- 4). Smooth the plaster over the entire mask with your fingers, giving you more control over the plaster's consistency.
- 5). Allow the plaster to dry until chalky. Apply a second layer with a new batch of plaster, mixed the same way.
