- 2). Phone the NSW Police Assistance Line (PAL) on 131 444 and report the scam to a customer service representative. Once they have taken all your details, the file will be made immediately available to officers at your local police department.
- 3). Wait to hear if any progress has been made with your case and follow up the matter with officers if you have not received a response within a reasonable amount of time.
- 4). Visit the Australian Government's cyber-fraud website "Stay Smart Online," which offers useful tips and advice on how to improve your online security and avoid such Internet scams in future.
