An Active Parenting Style
This style of parent actively works on raising their teens.They understand and strive to learn what they can about parenting, as they know that parenting is the largest responsibility they have, and work what they've learned into their family's dynamics. They are not afraid to try new things and are open to ideas that will help their teens achieve happiness and success.
A Perfectionist Parenting Style
This style of parent emphasizes the parent striving to be perfect at parenting and have the perfect home by following all of the rules and advice they can find and pushing themselves and their teens to look perfect to those around them.An Indulgent Parenting Style
This style of parent often empathizes with their teen to a point where they are not allowing the teen to learn self-confidence and independence. They feel by doing for their teens they are doing their best at parenting, to a point where they will not allow their teen to learn from their own mistakes.A Slacker Parenting Style
This style of parent puts emphasis on the teen doing what they need to do on their own, without much help.Parents who use methods that throw all of the responsibility of a teen's thoughts, actions and decisions back on their teen are using slacker parenting methods.
