Advances in technology have affected almost every facet of healthcare. Healthcare delivery continues to evolve in concert with technologic advancements. Three important caveats are evident in today's healthcare environment:

Pharmacy practice will not escape the changes brought about by the emergence of the Internet. As technology evolves and access to information increases, pharmacists, pharmacy organizations, and affiliated businesses need to be able to reconstruct the way business and healthcare will be provided in the next decade and beyond.
