- 1). Turn the Cub Cadet mower off and let it cool entirely before greasing the deck.
- 2). Load a trigger-pull grease gun with a tube of No. 2 all-purpose grease.
- 3). Squat down on the left side of the lawn mower. Place the end of the grease gun coupling on the grease fitting and push it straight down. Squeeze the grease gun trigger until grease flows out of the fitting.
- 4). Grasp the end of the grease gun tube and lean it to one side while pulling it off the grease fitting. Repeat this procedure for the front, right-side deck wheel.
- 5). Lower the riding mower deck to the lowest cutting position by pulling the deck lift lever back.
- 6). Go to the right side of the mower down and squat down. Locate the grease fitting on the deck spindle that is directly in the center of the cutting blade on the right side.
- 7). Place the grease gun coupling on the fitting and press down to lock it in place. Squeeze the grease gun trigger to fill the fitting until grease flows out of the fitting. Repeat this procedure on the left side of the lawn mower deck for the left deck spindle.
